Harmonize the exteriors
Before : The offices, closed by a huge blind garage door, are located at the end of a pretty paved courtyard. Provided with a simple kitchenette and a small bathroom, they totally lack charm and comfort. Between the false ceiling with tiles, the faded walls and the lack of light, everything is to be redone on the decor side. Outside, the doors clash with the rest of the courtyard: Flora Auvray will therefore work at first to harmonize the entrance to the apartment with that of the neighbors. After : First step, change the large garage door in favor of picture windows of the workshop type, perfectly in line with the rest of the courtyard. The benefit is twofold, since in addition to being aesthetic, these new bay windows provided with sliding doors allow plenty of light to penetrate into each room of the apartment. The "old Paris" aspect is finally here, all that's missing is the interior fittings!
Furnish two connecting apartments with style and comfort
Before : When Flora Auvray discovers the offices for the first time, she immediately notes the constraints she will have to face. Lack of light, obsolete floor coverings, faded walls and ceilings ... Everything has to be redone from A to Z! Another challenge: divide the 55m2 surface into two communicating dwellings, according to the wishes of the owner who intends his property for vacation rental. It is also necessary to create storage spaces, essential for the comfort of future tenants. After : Helped by interior decorator Jessica Barrouch, Flora Auvray has achieved a real decorative feat! The new housing now consists of a two-room apartment and a fully equipped studio, which communicate with each other through a service door. The "old Paris" style has been favored in order to restore character to the whole. The two young women opted for an imitation cement tile, placed in the center of each room and surrounded by plain tiles. Large custom-made storage cupboards have been integrated into each accommodation: discreet and functional, they allow you to store a maximum of personal effects to leave the rooms free and airy. The new decoration is simple and cozy, perfectly in line with the workshop spirit of these old offices.
Loft atmosphere for the double pied-à-terre
Before : The spaces were absolutely not defined since the premises were intended for a professional activity. It was therefore necessary to reorganize the 55m2 so that they include on the one hand a bedroom, a small living / dining room, a kitchen and a bathroom, and for the studio a bedroom, a kitchenette as well as a bathroom. After : The French windows, the retro tiles and the 1930s wall lights have largely contributed to giving character to these apartments while bringing a vintage touch to the two properties. White has been favored on the walls to reflect the natural light that bathes the whole. The two apartments are finally ready to welcome their visitors!
