On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the French Manufacture founded in Lorraine, a retrospective of Baccarat crystals is installed at the Petit Palais until January 4, 2015. 500 exceptional pieces, notably those presented at major Parisian exhibitions from 1823 to 1937 , took place in the aisles of the Grande Galerie. An event not to be missed!

A refined scenography

The refined scenography sublimates the talent and know-how of the craftsmen of the Baccarat manufacture. Glasses, chandeliers, vases and tables are presented according to their stylistic affinities or their context of creation. We discover exceptional pieces such as "The Toilet of the Duchess of Berry", the "Harcourt Service" or even the "Candelabra said of the Tsar" ordered for Tsar Nicholas II in 1896. Service pieces from large royal orders or designed for the Emperor II of Japan or the Maharajas are also staged.

Unpublished drawings and archival documents

Many drawings and unpublished archival documents allow us to trace the birth of the creations on display and reveal the sources of inspiration for Maison Baccarat. A table also depicts certain orders from the manufacture and once again proves his talent in the field of the art of living. The exhibition ends with a series of chandeliers, the most majestic of which shines with 250 lights in the gallery of honor at the Petit Palais. Sparkling!
